Current Game Obsessions

We all play games. That's what this company is about. In order to know more about our tastes, I'll tell you what I'm playing. Then you can decide if I have any clue at all!

• PC Games
  All I'm playing right now is Diablo 2. It's fun, and I'm enjoying it, but it's not quite as "dominate your life" fun as the first one was. More classes, more monsters, better quests, more items all make for a fun game, but it still feels like a mega-upgrade rather than a new game.

• Platform System Games
  Dreamcast. Dreamcast dreamcast dreamcast. What can I say? I got one for Christmas last year, and I've already bought more games for it than I had for the whole time I had my N64. Here are the few I recommend right now:
  • Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
    Not only a great skating game, but probably THE best console game of the year. If you don't have a Dreamcast, get it on PSX or N64. But just get it!
  • Rayman 2
    One of the best 3D platform games yet. Takes the best of Mario and Zelda and utilizes the Dreamcast hardware like no other game. I won't blaspheme and say it's better than Mario or Zelda, just that if you liked those, check out Rayman 2.
  • Space Channel 5
    I haven't liked all dance games. I was a fan of Bust a Groove, but not of Parappa or Um Jammer Lammy. However, the wacky 60's feel and cool tunes of Space Channel 5 make it one of the ultimate non-gamer's games.

• Arcade Games
  Despite the fact that I work for Midway, I hardly play any arcade games at all. Mostly, I think they see (as does everyone else) that the market is changing fast. Who knows where it will be in a year.
